Vice President Kim Jeong Sang of Approtium Receives the Industrial Service Medal with Honor

Recognition of Meritorious Service and Unity Amongst the Chemical Industry

Kim Jeong Sang, Vice President of Approtium, on the 31st, will receive the Industrial Service Medal at the 15th Chemical Industry Day ceremony to be held at Lotte Hotel in Seoul. Vice President Kim has been awarded the Industrial Service as a recognition of his contributions and harmony in the chemical industry.

This awards ceremony, hosted by the Korea Petrochemical Association, the Federation of Korean Chemical-Related Societies, and the Korean Chemical Industry Association, will honor 8 government commendations and 34 ministerial commendations. Additionally, on this day, awards for 9 outstanding teams in the University Chemistry Contest will also be presented.

Vice President Kim joined Samsung Group in 1989 and worked in various roles at Samsung BP Chemical, including Team Leader of Factory Support, Team Leader of Business Planning, Team Leader of Business Innovation, Team Leader of Procurement and Logistics, and VAM Sales Team Leader (Seoul). He served as the Marketing Business Planning Head at Lotte BP Chemical (acquired by Lotte from Samsung) in 2016. Following that, in 2020, he became the Executive Director of the Strategy and Innovation Department at DIG Airgas, and since 2021, he has been Vice President at Approtium.
